The LEGOLAND Water Park is not a separate park you can drive to. It sits inside Gardaland, at Castelnuovo del Garda, and that one fact explains most of the confusion about tickets. It is the main thing this page sets straight.

We checked the details against Gardaland’s website and help centre on 7 October 2026. By then the water park had closed for the year, and the operator had not published dates, hours or prices for summer 2027. Where a figure is missing below, it is because there was no official one to give.

Our verdict

LEGOLAND Water Park is a fully themed water park inside Gardaland, designed for families with young children. You cannot buy entry on its own: you need a combined Gardaland Park and water park ticket, or a supplement on any park ticket, paid at the ticket offices or inside the park. It opens in summer only, and children under 14 must be with an adult. Book it for under-tens on a hot day; teenagers will want bigger slides.

The good and the not-so-good

What we love

  • Themed throughout, with brick-building built into the water play
  • Slides and a toddler area that suit young children
  • Same-day re-entry with a hand stamp
  • Flotation devices required for under-8s, with some provided on site

What to know before you book

  • No stand-alone ticket: you pay for Gardaland as well
  • Summer only, and it closes in bad weather
  • Too tame for most teenagers
  • No outside cool bags, and no food or drink on the pool decks

Is it right for you?

Who it suits

  • Families with children aged about two to twelve
  • A hot afternoon during a two-day Gardaland visit
  • Toddlers, thanks to the DUPLO splash area

Who should skip it

  • Thrill-seekers looking for big slides
  • Anyone who wants a water park without paying for the theme park
  • Spring, autumn or winter visits

What the water park is like

Think paddling and play more than white-knuckle slides. The centrepiece is the LEGO River Adventure, a slow river you drift along on a raft you can customise with bricks. Around it are the Jungle Adventures slides, the Beach Party play area, Pirate Bay, a building area called LEGO Creation Island and DUPLO Splash, a pool for the smallest children.

Miniland is the sightseeing part: Italian monuments rebuilt to scale from more than four million bricks, including a Colosseum over four metres wide and a Leaning Tower of Pisa more than two metres high. The Harbour Restaurant serves pizza, salads and children’s menus, and a kiosk sells ice cream, fruit and soft drinks. Lockers are rented with a cashless wristband that also works as payment in the water park’s shops.

How the combined ticket works

The water park is inside the theme park, so the operator does not sell entry to it alone. You have two routes in. Buy a combined Gardaland Park and LEGOLAND Water Park ticket, or buy any Gardaland ticket and upgrade it by paying a supplement at the ticket offices or at a point inside the park.

Free birthday entry to Gardaland does not include the water park. The water park’s published regulations allow you to leave and come back the same day with a hand stamp, so you can split a day between slides and rides. They also warn that entry is refused when the water park is full, which is a reason to go early on hot weekends. We could not confirm 2027 supplement or combined-ticket prices; check the official ticket page once the summer calendar is out.

Season and opening

This is a summer attraction. In 2026 the Italian trade press reported the reopening for Saturday 30 May, and by 3 October Gardaland’s help centre stated that the season had ended. The water park does not appear in the park’s autumn and winter calendar, and its regulations say it closes to the public in bad weather.

Opening dates and hours for 2027 were not published when we checked. If the water park is the reason for your trip, wait for the calendar before booking flights for late May or September. Our Lake Garda weather guide shows which months are warm enough to enjoy it.

Age and height rules

Children under 14 cannot enter unless an adult goes with them. Those aged 14 to 17 may enter alone or with an adult, and adults may visit on their own. Children under 90 cm are free, as in every Gardaland Resort park.

The water park’s published regulations add the practical rules. Children under three must wear swim nappies or swim pants. Children under eight must wear a flotation device on the pool decks; the park provides a limited number. Individual rides can have their own height, age or weight limits, posted at each one. Swimwear is compulsory in the pools and on the slides, a shower is required before the pool decks, and phones and cameras are not allowed on the pool decks and rides.

Getting there

Follow the directions for Gardaland: the A4 exit at Peschiera del Garda, free uncovered parking, or the free shuttle from Peschiera del Garda station every 30 minutes on opening days. The water park is then reached from inside the theme park. Our Lake Garda trains guide covers the lines into Peschiera.

If you want a bigger water park with its own ticket, Caneva at Lazise is the alternative, and it is covered in our best Lake Garda parks. For free swimming, try the best Lake Garda beaches.

Where it is

Good to know

Can you visit LEGOLAND Water Park without going to Gardaland?

No. The water park is inside Gardaland and entry is only with a combined Gardaland Park and LEGOLAND Water Park ticket, or by upgrading a park ticket with a supplement. Our Gardaland guide covers park tickets and how to get there.

When is LEGOLAND Water Park open?

In summer only. In 2026 it was reported to reopen on 30 May, and the operator confirmed in early October that the season had ended. Dates for 2027 had not been announced when we checked, so look at the Gardaland calendar before you plan around it.

What age is LEGOLAND Water Park for?

It is designed for families with young children, and in our judgement it suits roughly two to twelve year olds best. Toddlers have the DUPLO Splash area and older children the slides and the river. Teenagers who want big slides will be happier at a full-size water park; see our best Lake Garda parks.

Can children go into the water park on their own?

Not under 14. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Those aged 14 to 17 can enter alone or with an adult.

Do children need armbands or life jackets?

The water park's regulations say children under eight must wear a personal flotation device on the pool decks. The park provides a limited number for those who do not bring one. Children under three must also wear swim nappies or swim pants.

Can you bring your own food?

The regulations do not allow outside cool bags in the water park, and no food or drink on the pool decks or rides. There is a restaurant serving pizza, salads and children's menus and a kiosk for ice cream and drinks.

Is LEGOLAND Water Park the same as LEGOLAND?

No. It is a themed water park inside Gardaland, not a LEGOLAND theme park with rides. The rides are in Gardaland itself, which is why most families combine the two in one or two days.
